Another 650 km thru boring fields on good roads - I cross Elista , a strange city that looks like Mongolia ! With a very large population of Buddhists- landscape change dramatically from here getting dry within 100 km-
I meet a Austrian couple traveling on 2 BMW bikes - 200 km before astrakhan at Kazakhstan border , this is completely desert with sand dunes
No traffic at all
We past a monument , middle of nowhere where the Germans turned back during the 2WW.
First night of camping in the wild and first attempt to ride the heavy bike in sand- looks ok but much more heavy. Than the 250 yamaha I had in Mongolia last year !
