Funny stop in a cafe built in an old Russian container lot of salt pans before arriving in astrakhan , no traffic at all on the road from Elista , end of Europe- big city , lot of people - very modern and nice buildings , again , no one speaks anything else than Russian. On the road to the border there is water everywhere , we're in the volga s delta , beautiful. Border post - lot of Mosquitos , very hot , easy to get out of Russia - easy as well to get in Kazakhstan and people definitely more friendly- officials speaks a bit of English !lots of people speaks with me , and everybody is Asian type !what a change! Change of world , first camels , Muslims cemetery , soil-coated houses, horses everywhere , we are getting out of the delta aerea and when the green disappears , the villages disappears as well. Desert again , camels only. Small derricks and surrealist landscape of oil fields..

Bush camping by the Caspian sea after crossing 2 kn of very soft sand where ill fall down 2 times , confirming that weight is a big issue ..super nice wild camping spot - I expect a nice bath in the sea but I can only reach 20 cm depth of water..
