27-30 to Ulaan Bataar

Getting out of the Gobi gradually , still on a track , we reach Bayanngor - and a east- west main (gravel) road .
First relatively good food for a long time
We go out at night to find a place to camp.
Heading to UB, it start to rain a lot, suddenly the piste change in a kind of river with water up to knees level and flooding from everywhere, we are completely wet, and it last for hours , the only cars we see stops as they cannot cross the new- rivers - but we can.
We ll stop on top of a hill, just whe rain stops for a while, just the time to set up the tents. By chance nothing is wet but the apparels...
Another day of grave, to the main road and at the end the 400 km of Tarmac to UB
With always 1 tire puncture a day, the last day on the road brings us 3 punctures on thierrys bike ,
This is time to be back

July 22 -27 Gobi

Browsing around in the south Gobi, with unpredicted and unexpected afternoon rains is amazing, lot of sands , rivers crossing and now mud.
Because of the very bad condition of the yamaha tire s tubes, we have almost one tire puncture a day.
Heading south to the chinese border, we start to cross a mountain ridge, under heavy rains, and after 2 hours of seeking the right heading , I decide to turn back and start to head north .
From now on , we should need at least 4 days to get out of the area and the rivers levels is quite High, I don't want to get stucked with no possibilities to go back for weeks.
There is a valley crossing a bit too green, starts to be definitly muddy, and at the end it doesn't work and is slips like ice.
On a relatively ok stretch my front wheel suddenly block, and I move from 40 kmh to 0 in nothing- the nightmare of the biker.big pain in the knee and the foot- I strait to believe I ll have to manage that at a hospital ... (but what hospital?)I will take long time to recover and the next 2 weeks I ll have pain and difficulty to walk. Not good
At the end the mud accumulate in the front wheel managed to block the mudguard and the brake steel line went in the tire! We will make a kind of workaround

Rain , storm and ice
Strange experience :following a piste in dry riverbed for over 100 km we fix a flat , and suddenly a hell of water is suddenly flooding arriving at a running-man speed, at the edge of the water , a moving ice edge is retaining the waterflow , and making it After 3 minutes the waves are over 2 m high whashing up the riverbed like hell.
We need to wait 2 hours that the level goes down before riding in the water following the river for over 100 km before going out of the last canyon
Altitude is always above 2500 m
Deep Sand riding in ferry narrow tracks , to reach at the end a village called bogt. .. On the other side of a wide and deep river flooding quite fast - we manage to cross , we the water level quite high- people here use a tractor to pull the vehicle to cross, and no one is crossing with a bike, but us..finally we stay in the middle of the river on a kind of island , with another deep crossing to the village where Alvaro will stuck the bike. And will struggle to get it out
I ve a flat tire on the Ktm.. Back tire of course, hard work
